Hey everyone!  Don´t have a lot of time right now to blog but just want to let everyone know that I made it safely to the Dominican Republic and we are currently staying in the city of San Juan.  My team won´t be camping this month, but we are rolling out the sleeping bags in the house we are renting from the AIM full time missionaries here.
I am enjoying myself immensly and trying to settle into the cultural.  So far the language barrier hasn´t been too much of a problem since my teammates Nate and Holli know some basic Spanish.  I myself know nothing!  Otherwise the real difference from America that is hard to get used to is not flushing the toilet paper but throwing it in the trash…kind of grosses me out, by oh well.
It is definitely hot here and I am sporting the new shades and slathering on the sunscreen! Next week my small team gets to help out on a local farm…more details to come!
