Becoming Invisible-Part 3 (The last part)

I will adore you.

Adore by definition is : To regard with deep, often rapturous love. To regard with great awe and devotion. To feel deep, devoted love for. To like or enjoy enthusiastically, often excessively: delight (in).

Was I adoring God?
Did I truly even understand what that meant to adore anything? By human nature, we throw words around very easily. For example LOVE. I always say “I love, love.” The question is, was I living in love? The phrase that keeps popping into my head time and time again : Living in the overflow of Gods love.Freedom

If we are to heal those around us,
we need to be healed ourselves.
To release freedom,
we ourselves must be free.
To share love,
we must be experiencing love.
You can not give what you do not have.
For a long time I struggled with this concept. Why did God love me? What could I do to experience more of His love? What effort did I have to put in, what more could I sacrifice?

I had a long chat a few night ago with my friend Danny and we discussed this very question. It is a straight up lie that you have to work to experience Gods love. He loves me the same that He loves you. You can notice His love for you, if you just take a look around. Later that night I read John 15:7 (mom, I know you are going to comment about this since its your favorite verse)-it says-I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing.

The funny thing about the Bible is…you can read the same verse 101 times and get something different from it every single time. I guess that is part of the reason why its called the “Living Word.” Well this time, I got this. I am the branch

What is the role that a branch plays in creating a grape?
The ONLY thing the branch does is stay connected to the vine. Through our connection with Jesus we are able to bear fruit.

No work needed. What a relief!! Branches exert no energy, only growth. A branch has one job-to receive nourishment from the vine.

So I challenge everyone…read 1 Corinthians 13- the infamous love chapter. Replace the word love with your name, and see if you are fully living in the overflow of Gods love. I know when I read “Jessi is patient, Jessi is kind, Jessi does not envy or boast…etc” that these are not 100% true statements. However, if I live as the branch to the vine, these statements DO become true. Through Christ, Jessi is patient, through Chris, Jessi is kind….

Scooby Do

**It was at this point (I think) where I asked everyone to let go of whatever was holding them back from living in Gods love. I prayed that God would take over our hearts and continue to pour His love into us.
The night was pretty powerful! Afterward, I prayed with a few girls that God had put on my heart. Some struggled with abandonment, others with rejection, and then some with just the same question as I…what does it mean to live in Gods love?
God is so amazing and so good…Thank you God for choosing to have a relationship with us. Thank you for pursuing our hearts!
