This one goes out to anyone who has supported me in any way these past couple years, and really my whole life.
A few of us were walking downtown the streets of J-Bay on our off day, when 4 African boys came up to us asking for some bread. I had my spikeball net in my hand from playing on the beach earlier and they were amazed at it, so I showed them how to play and they loved it. After that we walked to the closest little shop and bought some bread, milk, and crackers, and on the way back I showed them some of my finest magic tricks which also amazed them haha, their reactions were great. We got back to where the rest of our group was hanging out and I pulled out my hacky sack to hit it around with them. They were incredible at it, for not even knowing what it was. Through the smiles on their faces and their laughter I could tell they loved it. They were enjoying kicking around the hacky sack so much I told them they could have it if they kept practicing, which brought them more smiles. After that we had to start heading back so we hugged our new friends goodbye and parted ways.
When we got back to our house I started thinking about those sweet, joyful, boys again that I had such a fun time with. I realized all the things that made our interaction more fun; spikeball, magic tricks, and the hacky sack, I wouldn’t have had if it wasn’t for other people. My Dad got me spikeball for my birthday. A friend on my squad Ty, taught me all my magic tricks, and an awesome man from my church, Lane, gave me his hacky sack.
I feel like people don’t think their doing things for God’s kingdom because their not able to go to a different country and do ‘mission work’. Just by loving people and pouring into people your impacting the kingdom greatly. It can be as simple as reaching out to someone, encouraging someone, teaching someone a skill that you have and they don’t, or just giving someone a hacky sack.
Anyone who has ever poured into me thank you. Thank you for loving me, thank you for building a relationship with me, thank you for supporting me, thank you for praying for me, and thank you for investing in me financially.
Keep loving people and pouring into people, because you’re building God’s kingdom by doing so.
Thank you, much love for all you guys:)
