Seven hours of church. That would normally sound a little rough and boring to me, and probably for you too. However, last Saturday night was amazing. First, my team and I went to a night service at the ministry that we’re serving at called Proyecto Abraham, and it was so incredibly cool worshiping God in a different language. That was the first time I’ve ever done that and it was so powerful. Then we tried our best to interpret the sermon, which was muy dificil, I maybe understood cinco words.
After a couple hours at that church we walked about ten minutes to a church that met in the garage of someone’s home. It was a five hour service, but probably the most powerful, impactful service I’ve ever been too. I will never forget that night.

When it comes to worshiping God, it doesn’t matter where you are or how many people there are, but where your heart is. There were people from three different nations in this room speaking in different languages worshiping the same God together. It was so evident the Holy Spirit was moving like crazy and that God was there. People were praying thirty minutes straight, and I struggle praying for five. About two hours in I got a little bored and slouched back in my chair, and then I felt a little convicted. How could I be bored in the presence of God? Then I thought about the fact that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us, so we should always live our life in a way with our hearts bowed down. Living with reverence. It was such a special night, and again, so evident that God was there.
This is just one way God has moved In my life since I’ve been in Costa Rica, and I’m so excited that there will be so many more. Ministry has also been so awesome, and I will be posting a blog about it in the near future! Thank you to all my supporters back home for your prayers, love you all. God has been working.
