9 months! I’m leaving the country for 9 months, and I’m leaving many things behind and I’m going to miss so many things, but it’s extremely worth it. There are so many better things that I’m going to gain in exchange, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity that God has blessed me with.
That is everything I’m taking with me for the 9 months, and here are a few things I’m going to give up.
My house and everything in it! That includes my comfortable bed, peaceful room, and steaming hot shower. But in return I have the opportunity to live in fellowship with 8 other like minded guys, and grow closer to them and to God.
My car! I’m going to miss cruising around town in Tracy the Taurus. I love driving and I love my car a lot, so it’s going to be a hard thing to give up. But in exchange I get to see, explore, and have adventures in the beautiful world that God created.
Family and friends. This is definitely going to be the hardest, and the thing I miss most about being away for 9 months. But God is giving me the special opportunity to share the gospel with people in different countries that may have never heard the name of Jesus before.
So I may be leaving behind some things, but the experiences and opportunities I’m going to have are so worth anything I might miss. If you could pray for me to have a kingdom mindset and to live filled with the Holy Spirit each day that would be awesome. Also be praying for my pride to be destroyed and for me to just increase God and decrease myself.
Again, a huge thank you to all who have supported me in any way, I’m so thankful.
