Hey guys! My name is Jessica Smith but to most I am Jesse. I’m a senior at Haughton High in Haughton, Louisiana. I am a daughter of two loving parents and the sister of many brothers. I have a passion for loving others and spreading God’s love everywhere I go. You can usually find me in the church, playing the keyboard, sitting at a coffee shop, or watching Netflix (but mostly NCIS). Although, all of these things make me who I am, this coming season is going to be one for the books while I travel through Thailand spreading God’s love and happiness to others.
Being a World Racer means having a dedication and a mission to spread God’s word and love to people across the world. Although my team and I won’t be gone long, Jesus will be moving through us and within us to show Himself. Not only will lives be touched but peoples eternitys will be changed! Leaving my family and friends for an entire month won’t be the ***easiest*** thing but it for sure is what this next season holds.
What is a World Race Semester?
A World Race Semester in my case is a month long mission trip where you travel to a country which you choose from the ones available. The World Race is dedicated to spreading God’s word and who He is through the young adults who feel a calling to missions.
How can you help me?
Prayer, prayer, prayer!! Through prayer God hears your crys for help and your shouts of joy. Pray for my team, the people of Thailand, and me. Pray for safe travels, lack of sickness, for lives to be touched, and for eternitys to be changed! Although, alongside prayer, donations are greatly appreciated. The cost of my trip is $4,600. This will cover my flights from Atlanta to Thailand and back, my housing, and my meals. Theres a donate box at the top of my blog and ALL donations are helpful!! So please be with me in prayer for this next journey in my life!
