Father, King, Savior, Counselor, Friend, Hype Man, Shepard, etc…

These are all things we might use to describe God, but He is so much more.

How we view God is shown through our dedication to Him.

If we view God as little then we won’t spend much time with Him, we won’t obey what He says, and we won’t fear Him as we should. Sometimes, we try to put God in a box, but He is a limitless God which withstands all standards of time. Although, if we view God as a big, mighty, loving God (which He is) then we will spend an abundant amount of time with HIM, we will begin to have different desires, and we will obey His word.

Instead of dedicating yourselves as a single rain drop, we should dedicate ourselves as the entire storm. Pour out yourself to God and He will pour out His blessings and love upon you. You may not recognize His abundance of mercy and blessings in the moment, but His mercy doesn’t always come in as an entire ocean at once. Sometimes His mercy comes as little droplets of water that over time make up an entire ocean of love.

A greater view, a bigger dedication.

-Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT)

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly father already knows all your needs. Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”

When we have a BIG view of God, we begin to seek Him and dedicate ourselves to Him more. Matthew 6:31-33 tells us to seek God above all. When we seek God and follow His word, everything else will align. We as believers shouldn’t just be going to church on Sunday morning. We should be reading His word, listen to music that’s good for our hearts, serving others, and witnessing to those around us. God doesn’t expect perfection. He desires your heart and everything in it.

When we begin to live for God and we see Him as the big God he really is then our dedication to Him and others becomes so much greater.
