Things don’t just happen.
Money doesn’t just appear, friendships don’t just develop, & relationships do not just grow. Not on their own, at least. These things take time, energy, & attention. I’ve realized I have often adopted the notion that circumstances & situations will work in supernatural ways to initiate productivity in certain areas of my life. My relationship with God is no exception.
For some time now I have felt the need to delve deeper into my faith. And for some reason I was under the illusion that embarking upon the World Race would miraculously make that happen. After days of feeling dissatisfied with my progress, an illuminating conversation with a fellow squad mate brought me to my new revelation. It may seem simple, it may appear trite, but I realized -things don’t just happen. My relationshipwith God, my faith, this huge part of me just sitting waiting for revitalization won’t ever evolve if I don’t engage. I could spend my entire life in church & never change if I don’t step up & make a daily conscious effort to input, to try. Faith is a lifestyle- one that you learn to walk in. It is not put upon you unwillingly & you cannot obtain it by merely desiring its societal appeal. If you want to truly live in faith & with Christ you must keep your end of the deal. Nobody likes a one-sided relationship.
If you identify with these words, join me. Don’t waste any more time waiting for the right time or the perfect situation. Step out with me.
Let’s make things happen.
