Hey Friends!
I just got home from training camp today! I am still processing things but I would like to share some of my experiences with you all!
Nine days ago I left for trainging camp shaking in my shoes. Would my squad like me? Can I do this? Would I make any friends? Will God move in my life? Will I come back changed? Every one of these questions was blown out of the water.
First and most importantly I love my squad, there are 31 ladies and 7 guys, my team is 4 ladies and 2 guys. Here they are! Team Deep Pursuit!
From left to right it is Tom, Me, Liana, David, Hannah, and Katie. My team is who I will be with every day of my 11 months, they are some incrediable men and women of God. My squad also won SQUAD WARS! GO J SQUAD!!!
While at training camp we learned to let go of baggage, heal our wounds, greive our past hurts and stop believing the lies we tell ourselves. I have never felt so free and at peace with The Lord.
I went into training camp thinking I would learn a few things but instead I was wrecked, completely shattered and put back together by Gods grace and love. It was better then I ever expected.
I also learned a few random things such as how to take a bucket shower, that people wont judge you for wearing the same shirt two days in a row, and if your tired enough you can sleep anywhere! I can now set up my tent in about five minutes and my sleeping pad is basically a cloud and the best purchase Ive made.
One night I was woken up to the most intense thunder and lightening storm Ive ever seen, one night it rained so hard I thought someone was throwing water on our tent, and two nights I shared my tent because we were tired to all set up our own.
I didnt know I could love people so quickly but I do, I love each of my squad mates so much I can hardly wait to be back together again in six weeks. Thats right folks, SIX weeks until I embark on this crazy adventure!
As of today I am 72% funded, with $11,680. If you would like to donated please click the SUPPORT ME link and be sure to subscribe to my blog to follow my journey!
Love,
Jesse
