Let me tell you about a very sweet lady I met about two and a half weeks ago.
Her name is Connie. And she has cancer. Well, she used to. That is, until team Monarch prayed for and she was healed. If you want to see what she looks like, check out my profile pic 🙂
Here's how it all began:
On Friday October 21st, my team was formed and we made our first memory. While driving to Walmart in the middle of training camp, one of my teammates, Leah Malone, suggested we find a retirement home or hospital to go to and see if we could pray for someone there. We all agreed that it would be a good idea, but we needed to get to walmart first so that we could get our passport photos done. When we rolled up to walmart, we saw the Hope Center across the street.

How cool that we needed to find a place and this was right here! We did our thing at walmart and then hit up the Hope Center. Originally, we were told that nobody had ever asked to pray for people here so we were told to go outside and pray. Our team then walked twice around the building and prayed for the people inside. Afterwards, Leah walked back inside to check out a wall frame describing the reasoning of the monarch on the side of the building.

We all followed her and noticed that there was a nice, older lady sitting in a wheelchair just inside the entrance. We got to talking and she told us that she had cancer and wanted prayer 🙂 So we prayed and declared her healed! The whole time we were praying, she was crying out to God that she wanted to live; that she wanted to be obedient. I have never felt so drawn to a complete stranger as I did for this lady! She was such an honest and good-hearted woman and I had so much compassion for her!
We finished praying for her and ended with a round of hugs that seemed to last forever, followed by exchanging contact information. We told her that we expected her to give us a call when she was free from cancer. Not IF she was free, but WHEN she was free.
This was my first time ever evangelizing or doing anything like this and I am so incredibly inspired and encouraged by what God is going to do in these 11 countries. God brought our whole team together and gave us a memory that I know will never be forgotten! We have four strong women of God and three strong men of God. Who better to go into the field of battle with?!
