Hey Everybody, just wanted to let you know of some different ways that you can donate. If you are or arent comfortable putting your credit card online, here are some alternate options that you have. Thanks to you, I have close to $4,000 raised. Thank you guys so much! Some of you I don't even know and so I thank you even more for stepping out in faith and supporting me! I need to be at $6500 by mid-December, so please consider becoming a part of this trip and donating. Also, I dont know how it all works because Ive never used them before, but I'm looking for someone who would be willing to donate some skymiles or travel miles for a flight to CA to reach my launch city in January. 1. Credit and Debit Card
If you click the "Brother, can you spare a dime" link on the left side of this blog, you will be taken to a form for giving that allows you to donate using a credit or debit card. You can set up an automatic monthly payment or use it for a one time donataion. The drawback is that it requires a third-party service that charges a fee of 5%, so I only get 95% of any donations given in this manner.
Pros: Quick. Easy to find and navigate. Easy to set up monthly pledge.
Cons: 5% fee paid to the processing company.
2. Bank Draft
You can also set up a bank draft through the "Support Me" link on this blog. It's similar to the credit and debit card donations, but the funds come directly out of your bank account rather than through a credit or debit card. This method is also easy and convenient. It also requires a fee to be paid to a third-party processing company as well. With a bank draft, the processing fee is only 3%.
Pros: Quick. Easy to find and navigate. Easy to set up monthly pledge.
Cons: 3% fee paid to the processing company.
You could also mail checks directly to Adventures in Missions. All the information needed is on the Support Card. at the bottom of this page. If you donate in this manner please include a Support Card, This will ensure you get a receipt for your Tax deductible donataion. With this method 100% of your donation goes into my account
Pros: No processing fee. Sent directly to AIM's bank to be deposited.
Cons: May take up to 2 weeks from the date mailed for the donation to appear in your Fund-Raising account.
If you would like to make a monthly commitment, the DynaPay system may be the all-around best option. By entering a few bits of information online, you can give, by electronic check, once or twice a month. The best part: NO PROCESSING FEES! You MUST enter the end date of the gift in the online form or the donation will continue until the Donor Relations department at AIM offices receives written confirmation that you would like to discontinue the donation. Pros: No processing fee. Automated giving.
Cons: The donor must specify the end date or communicate in writing with Donor Relations.
