Hello everybody!!!!! Now that it's been a month, I can actually give you details about what I'm doing and learning here at G42! It's been a great month, full of new experiences, meeting some absolutely great people, and learning so many new things!

First, the teaching here is for those who want to take what they learned on the World Race or in other areas of their Christian walk and go further with it.

The WR changed my life. It set the pace for what I want to do with my life. What that means is that I can sit at home all day and think about changing the world, or I can get out here and learn how to do it and then actually do it.

What that requires is a new person. That means letting go of any burdens or loads I've been carrying on my shoulders in regards to the past and stepping forward with complete confidence in God. That means knowing that God is leading me and fully realizing that I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing out here. That means becoming a man of true character and integrity and remaining constant in that truth.

It hasn't been easy to take what I learn in the classroom and apply it, but I'm doing my best and I've got some great examples in the men and women around me. Every day I have to force myself to think differently, act differently, and speak differently. This isn't just a fling. This is real and I truly believe in it and in the effect it will have and who I am becoming.

Photography can be a powerful avenue of telling a story. This past month, I've seen story after story told through the simple truth of a photograph! We've all seen the pictures and commercials of African orphans. That's not what I'm about. What I want to do is capture truth. I want to show strength despite defeat; joy in the midst of sadness; a person as a person truly is. There are countless stories I've heard this month of professional journalists, photographers, and filmographers capturing a person as they really are through the eye of a lens. I've not only had the opportunity to work with them inside the classroom these past few weeks, but work on creating our own film outside of the classroom as well.

Lastly, I come to Fundraising…

It's the unavoidable hallway to walk down; the subject I hate talking about but must if I'm to progress with my ministry. I have no idea how people nowadays do it! I'm told that there's a certain way to go about it; almost an art. I can't think of anything to say to my supporters other than, this is what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm learning and growing, and I want you to believe in me and help me continue to learn, grow, and serve.

I have a need of about $2300 to become fully-funded for G42 and I'd like you to continue standing by me in this-believing that I'll become fully-funded, and helping me get there. If I can answer any questions, you can comment on this blog or send me an email at [email protected]

*Currently, I have a Canon Rebel T1i with an 18-55mm interchangeable lens, but I am looking for a 18-135mm interchangeable lens, as well as a tripod. If you know anyone who might have either of these that they have no use for, please let me know.*
