This last week has been tough, really tough. Family issues fore one, and at the Dream Center we lost a good friend due to an overdose. But i got to thinking no matter what happens, whether drama, tragedy or other things God is SOVEREIGN always.
The definition of sovereign is this: One that exercises supreme, permanent authority.
God is the author and finisher of our faith, the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. So he is sovereign above all. Sometimes life kicks you in the balls through situations. But you cant let your situation determine how big your God is. If He can part the red sea, Deliver the israelites from egypt, set the captives free, if he can do ALL these things and more, he can bring peace. Jesus is the prince of peace, are greatest comfort in times of need and trial.
I will wrap it up with this: we are to be like pure gold, but that means refinement through fire. not literal melt your face fire but spiritual fire. God is refining us every day, some more than others but the point is he is sovereign and will finish his work in us. Refinement sucks sometimes but the end is worth is.
