I am beyond thrilled that you have chosen to come along in this journey with me. Love, prayer, and support is beyond what I could ask for and I am so grateful for your investment in my life. I would not be able to do any of this if it wasn’t for the endless encouragement and support that I have received. I am so excited to see how the Lord moves in my life over the 10 months up until I leave, and I am even more excited to share it with you!
College graduation is just around the corner for me in May, 2016 and instead of taking the traditional route of going straight into my career, taking on the bills that my mother is more than excited to pass onto me…instead I’m going to travel for 11 months through India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, South Africa, Botswana and Swaziland.
HOW AWESOME DOES THAT SOUND?!
The Lord as called me into the mission field for a season of my life and I cannot wait to touch the lives of the less fortunate, and to share the gospel message with them. While in each of these countries my team and I will be completely called out of our comfort zone and totally exposed to what God is doing in theses foreign countries. Our work could range from teaching English, helping people with disabilities or reaching out to women who have been pulled into sex trafficking. Wherever God calls us, we will follow.
Earlier I stated that I have 10 months to begin preparation for the trip, and that seems like enough time, but there is a lot I have to do. First and foremost I need to prepare my heart and my mind for what is to come. Not only while I’m out on the mission field but also how the Lord leads for the months to come. The trip that I am soon to embark on is going to radically change my life, and I’m ready, but I need prayer. I want an Ephesians 6 prayer, that the Lord will equip me with the belt of truth, because only God’s truth can defeat Satan’s lie. Clothe me with the breastplate of righteousness so my heart will be protected from evil and deception. Pray that I will walk with the footgear of readiness to spread the good news of the Gospel of peace. Protection with the shield of faith, the ultimate victory is ours. The helmet of salvation to protect my mind from doubting God’s work for us, and to go into battle with the sword of the Spirit of the Word of God because I fully trust in the truth of God’s word.
The second way you can help is to subscribe to my blog, comment on it, like it, share it, spread the news to the people you know whom my journey could impact! I LOVE feedback and I love people. So feedback from you would mean the world.
The last way you can help me is financially. The goal for this trip is $17,000 which covers every expense; airfare, bus, hostel, food, etc.
If you would like a fundraising letter from me with the card in the mail I would be more than happy to send you one. The letter includes this information above, but getting letters is always fun, right?! Comment and let me know if that’s something you’re interested in.
You can choose to sponsor me monthly, or send a one-time donation. However you feel called.
You can donate directly through my blog, at the very top, click the support me button.
