Well, clearly I’m a little behind on my blogging… I’m going to take this blog to quickly update about the last several months. I don’t want to take a lot of time on each so it’s going to be short and sweet. What this means however is that when I come home I will have even more to tell you about this year! #perfect
India (April) – In my last blog I shared our first couple of days there. They were incredible and let me just assure you that the rest of the month followed suit! We were able to participate in over 40 different ministries! We continued to pray door to door in all of the villages we went to, we got to put on a couple kids programs which included puppet shows, skits, songs and messages and we were also able to visit several different homes/hospitals (physically and mentally handicapped children’s homes, old age home, deaf & dumb school, leprosy hospital and a couple different schools).
It was my month to rest from leadership so I was able to just enjoy my team and ministry without the responsibility of leading. It was weird but I believe it played a big part in making the month so amazing. I would say the biggest thing I learned this month was how to pray fiercely! I can honestly say I don’t think I’d ever prayed so much or so hard in my life! …it was like a constant prayer meeting!
At the end of South Africa (when team changes happened) I was asked to step into a little bit different role. For the first three months I was a team leader of 6 and now they were asking me, along with 3 others, to lead the entire squad! I accepted and while I was apart of re-bound’s team for the month I would be joining the 3 others at the end of April to make up the new Squad Leader team.
