As my days are currently filled with the final preparations of leaving, I thought I'd share what some of that looks like…

1.  I've been enjoying some Iced Coffee…World Race style!  I was reading a blog from a former racer (a daily pastime now) who described buying iced coffee in bags with tons of sweetened condensed milk and coffee and ice.  Well…I didn't drink it out of a baggie…but here is my attempt at making this yummy iced drink.  Can't wait to test it out around the world!


  YUM!  

2.  Selling my stuff!  I had to say goodbye to my car last week…it's been a good friend:(  I had to take my final pictures..

                                                       
 

3.  Don't worry…no picture of this…but I've found myself going 2…3…4 days without showering…or shaving:)  Just getting ready for the race…not laziness at all!

4.  Saying goodbye to friends.  Going away parties!

8.  I've changed my approach to confronting bugs that run across my path.  A few nights ago, my cat was playing with a cockroach inside our house.  Where it came from, who knows…but I yelled for my dad to come take care of the disposal…but quickly thought, "Nope!  I'm going on the Race, I can handle this!"  And I promptly squashed the crunchy thing for a few minutes…just to make sure it was dead before I lifted up my shoe.  Yep…I'm ready!

 

Only 6 more days till Launch!
FYI: Launch will take place in Chicago for 3 or 4 or 5 days (I don't know).  We will receive more training and teaching and we'll spend time worshipping and praying together before we launch to our first countries.  
My first country is Guatemala!

Please pray for me as Satan is trying to attack my joy and bring in fear again.  But as I was reminded again tonight, IN HIS PRESENCE, there is no fear, only fullness of JOY.
