You know what’s better than home?
Jesus.  Learning to make your home in Him is better.

You know what’s better than health?
Sickness…that drives you to Jesus.  And a deep thankfulness that comes with the healing.

You know what’s better than yummy food and a comfortable bed?
Finding comfort in Jesus.

You know what’s better than an easy, carefree life?
A life that is engaged in the war with the enemy…knowing that through Christ,
every victory is ours.

You know what’s better than family?
This one’s hard…but Jesus.  His love is more unconditional, more extensive, longer-lasting, and truer than anyone else’s could hope to be.
 

Some days it’s hard to hold tight to these truths. 
But today, I see clearly.  There is something about walking out of dark places (even simple ones like temporary illness or homesickness), stepping back into the light, and discovering once again that Jesus is better than anything in this life. 

There is a peace and a joy that is too quickly forgotten when circumstances are good or easy.  But when challenges come, I remember the incredible gifts that naturally pour out on us when we seek and find the presence of God.

May you seek His face today.  Seek Him…and He will be found by you.
