Wow, so I officially stink at keeping up with blogging 🙂 SORRY!
So I guess I need to fill you in on the last couple of weeks that we were in Thailand.
After the Drop In Center we headed to Willapong"s house ( I am not really sure what the town was)
Willapong is an amazing Karen man who does a lot of outreach to the Karen people and mountain villages. He and his family opened their house to us and I fell in love with this family.
We went with him into a few Buddhist schools where we would sing songs, play games, and just love on the students. Depending on the school there were upwards of 300 kids.
We also spent one night and day at a site called The Promised Land where we worked to clear land for a future fence (to learn more check out www.outpourmovement.com) Which is currently just a plot of land ( with many creepy crawlers like scorpians and snakes and maybe a bat in the bathroom) but is the future home of a self sustaining childrens home where kids will get education and learn farming and such, they also hope to use it as an outreach center to teach neighboring hill tribe people how to live healthier by farming without pestisides
We also attended a Karen church while at Willapongs house where we sang a few praise songs, Cole shared, and Jamie prayed over the church and area
We are now in Phnom Phen Cambodia, where we are working at night to teach two english classes and then soccer ministry, youth group and church services on the weekends
My next fundraising goal is 10,000$ before April 1st, I must have this in order to stay on the field
