Family
and Friends,
I
just can not believe that 5 and 1/2 months have already passed since
I left on The World Race. That means I am at the half way point of
this 11 month journey.
Everyday
my eyes are opened to injustice and my heart is broken for the people
of the world.
I
have had the amazing opportunity to share the gospel in Buddhist
schools in Thailand. Love on HIV/AIDS patients hospitalized in
Cambodia. Help a church organization that reached out to the outcast
aboriginals by helping with daily cleaning and yard work in
Australia. In Malaysia I got to help bring a dream to reach local
university students with the gospel come to life, and also saw first
hand life for Burmese refugees who have fled their country in hopes
for a better life. In India God’s Kingdom was unleashed, I saw
people become believers through healing, people who despite tragedy
and despair found their hope in the one true God.
In
Nepal God’s love is being poured out on women who once were caged and
held against their will, told of nothing but their lack of worth,
women who’s fathers, brothers, and even lovers betrayed them and sold
them as objects. These ladies are receiving the hope of a life of
value and worth being told daily of their beauty and how much they
are loved for who they are.
But
the race in not finished, there are still 5 more months, 5 more
countries, and so many more people out their who need the love that
Christ brings.
Will
you please consider helping me finish this journey. This is a
journey that stands for so much more than what I could even describe.
It is a journey that while is reaching and impacting all those who we
work with and minister to, it is changing and defining me and who I
am in Christ.
In
order to be able to finish the race I must be fully funded by July
1st 2011. I currently am 3,700$ short of this goal.
Failure to reach this goal will result in me being sent home unable
to finish the remaining 5 months.
