So, I just returned Monday night from camp with a group of middle schoolers from my church. What an awesome experience. There were about 90 kids all together, and in our cabin we had 14 7th grade girls.

I did not really know what to expect going into camp since this was my first year and I have really just begun to get involved with the middle school ministry.

Of course there were games… One of my favorites being leader lug, which involves the leaders hiding and then the kids have to work in teams to find and then CARRY the leaders to home base
We hiked the Jefferson National Park to “The Cascades” waterfall and everyone was able to swim around.
We went to watch fireworks on the 4th.
There was paintball and “The Blob”, there was archery and a riffle range.

And there was God! Kerry Ray our brand new middle school pastor finally made an appearence and all week delivered some life changing messages. Six of the girls in our cabin accepted Christ for the first time on the second night.

Worship was lead by Tony Fisher… check him out on itunes!! AMAZING

It always amuses me when God speaks to me in ways I never expect. I never imagined I would be changed by being an adult at a middle school camp, but I must say, God was there and speaking loudly.

I am so excited about some of the new friends and relationships made a Tuk-A-Way, and can’t wait to see how the Lord uses some of these middle schoolers to change the world!
