In 4 1/2 weeks I land in Chicago….
That seems absolutely crazy….
Sometimes it feels Iike I got on that plane from Chicago to D.C. just yesterday, not 10 months ago. Other times it feels like I've been gone for years….
So much has happened in the past 10 months, in my life and back home … I mean I didn't know we had a new secretary of state until a few weeks ago (what happened to Hillary Clinton?)….
As our squad entered into the final months of our race we've been encouraged to start processing the past year and to start focusing on the future.
This has been a bit of a struggle for me, I mean how do I start processing this last year while still staying focused on where I am? It also just seems like a daunting task… summarize the last year of your life… ready? 1.2.3…. go!
As I start to think about coming home I do understand how important it is to have already started the process. I would like to be able to answer questions about this entire experience, instead of just staring blankly at people as I scramble to come up with a suitable response. My last week in Latvia has actually helped a bit with this process already. We spent thefinal week in the town of Talsi working with the Gypsy community and a couple of church groups in the area. We did several presentations on our trip and experiences thus far, and everyone we talked to was so interested and asked tons of questions. It gave us all an awesome snapshot about what types of questions we'd be asked when we get back.
That got me thinking…. What kinds of questions do you guys have? What would you like to know about this entire experience? Please ask!!!!!
Please send me ANY questions you have and I will either answer them in a blog and if not in blog then by email ( I promise I'll get you an answer!)
I really want to know what you'd all like to know more about!
Much Love,
Jess
