Month 4 was one of the months I was particularly excited about. When signing up for the race I chose July route 2 because I had read that teams had worked with the gypsy community. I knew that I was not guaranteed to do this but it is the foundation upon the route I signed up for. And that is exactly what the Lord gave me. Iron Life was given a ministry in which we would work with the poorest communities of Pitesti, Romania. Along side this we did a Thursday Night street ministry where we would share the gospel and feed the people. To ready more about my time in each of these ministries read “You Read My Journal?!”

Instantly we were introduced to the “war” that lives within the children (Razboi means war). Rhakeem and Ryan would wrestle the boys while the Molly would teach the others a dance, do a craft, or they could paint/color a coloring page created by myself.

The “play ground” these kids were provided at the kindergarten we met at every afternoon.

Soccer tournament was held on the asphalt behind the high school.

The good-bye’s here were not easy. We developed an attachment to the kids of Razboieni. “Gypsy Kids” has taken on a whole new face for us.

I have met someone from each country that I has become a face I will associate that country with. Although this girl will hold my heart for Eastern Europe. It’s rare when you come across someone you immediately connect with. This is the strongest girl I know, God’s going to do great things with her.

Our team came together more here in Romania then any other month. Our two guys made us girls an amazing, candle lit dinner (we did our best to shower, wear make up, and dress as nice as our backpacks would allow), and we had the most epic water fight with two of our contacts.

Thank you people of Living Hope church!
