I am eager to officially announce my acceptance into the World Race missions program. Come January 2020 I will be going on an expedition to eleven countries in eleven months. In each new location I will be a bearer of the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection.
I have been asked, “why the world race?” To answer that we need to go back to 2015. I was in my second year at Ohio Christian University studying to receive a Christian Ministries degree when God placed a radical call on my life. He planted India in my heart with a steadily growing knowledge that the ministry He is calling me to will be strange and unorthodox. Through prayer, the Holy Spirit revealed that I am to go to India and preach under an apostolic modeled missionary journey. Essentially meaning, I am to go to India with no food or money and preach the Word of God to all the people of that land while wholly dependent of the provisions of my King.
Once God revealed His plan for me I began to pray for guidance in respect to preparing my mind, body, and spirt. I discerned two significant tasks to complete before I would find success in India. The first was to walk across the United States with no food or money. By the grace of God’s steady hand I have already accomplished this goal. For over 4,000 miles and 600 days I traveled step by step learning first hand what life is like when one is completely dependent on God. The second task is to complete the World Race. In addition to the wonderful ministry and witnessing opportunities created by the race I will be gaining personal experience that will shape my fundamental approach to preaching in India.
If you would like to partner with me in this journey you can have me come and speak to your church, youth, camp, et cetera. I speak using illustration from my 4,000 mile journey. You may donate to help fund my part in the World Race this January. For more information on hosting me as a speaker go to my website “http://wayfarersfeet.com/” or to donate visit “https://jeromebeers.theworldrace.org“. As a firm believer in the power of prayer I would greatly appreciate any prayer support offered to our God on my behalf.
