I now get to see some of the eternal results of what I did here after some of the tough internal spiritual times this month. One day while meeting with the guys who are recovering from drug addiction, one of us gave a testimony. After the testimony, I gave an invitation for those who are interested in the gospel and want to follow Jesus. I told them to mean what they say in their hearts and repeat after me. It was an awesome experience to see nearly 20 people pray with me to take their faults and the results of their formerly futile lives and crucify it with Jesus. They prayed to direct their trust in Him and because they were thankful for His death on the cross and saving them, they confessed him as lord in their hearts and their words. At least, this is what I led them to pray from their hearts and repeat the words I said.
Only time will tell if they really meant what they prayed when I led them through the process. All it takes is just one of them to let the Word of Christ come to dwell in him richly to be a victory for the kingdom. We were faithful to be relational with them and also do it with Christ as the center of it. They are very hungry and know that they need something better to offer hope to them after they have completely wasted their lives. If they have really placed their trust in Christ for their future we will see new life in them. Some, I think are already showing that. This has been a very satisfying ending to the month after having a lot of inner demons dealt with in my life.
It is not too hard to see that a lot of the opposition that I faced and what some of my team faced makes sense now. Spiritual Warfare is a real thing and I’m very certain I felt its effects this month. My team learned to stand strong in prayer because of it. I thought I was coming to Africa to exercise demons and bring healing and the kingdom to the lost. Well, as it turns out God brought me to here to have my own demons exercised, specifically in Rwanda. This month despite what it may look like on the surface has left a huge imprint on me. I had a breakthrough in my walk with the Lord toward the end of the month.
