So almost everyone has heard the term “on fire for God.” It is such a great honor for someone to say that about you. I have had that said about me before, and whoever has said that in the past, thank you!! But the normal meaning for this term is not where this blog is going. What follows is a ridiculous story that happened at World Race training camp. If you are skeptic about some of the stuff God does (as I was about a week ago), you may want to do one of the following: either approach this story with a completely open mind about God and willing to accept whatever He does in this world, or don’t read this story at all, just walk away then after some prayer for readiness re-approach it.

So anyways here is one of my many crazy stories from training camp:

After a session about something that was not even about religious stuff (it was on finances or something like that), one of our squad leaders came forward and said that she was having problems with one of her ears caused by sinus stuff. When she came forward, our whole squad (about 75 people) prayed healing over her.

After all of us prayed over her, another squad leader said that if anybody was feeling a fire burning on the inside (at about this point, my old “religious” self would have tuned out) to come forward and pray over her again. Right before she said that, I had an extremely overwhelming sensation of heat go through my body, so, needless to say, I stepped forward and prayed over her again. I was not alone though, because about 10-15 other people stepped forward to pray over her again. So we all spoke over her what we were feeling led to say.

During this time, I began to be overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit. He definitely manifested Himself in a BIG way while the few that were feeling the fire on the inside were speaking life into this sister in Christ. After this time of prayer over this sister in Christ, we had a quick testimony from Colby Gardner about what was going on this week for him (yes, I did say quick and Colby in the same sentence..haha), then we proceeded to pray over some other stuff like fund-raising and stuff like that. While that was going on, I had to get away from everybody because the Spirit was moving so heavily in me that I could not stand still.

After this time of prayer over support raising, my ears started to burn. I thought that was crazy since our squad leader was struggling with her ear. Since my ears were burning, I felt that I was supposed to pray over her again.. for the third time. That prayer was probably the most I have poured out over anybody in my entire life. I poured out not because of any of my physical abilities, I honestly couldn’t tell you a single thing I said during that prayer, because I asked for the Spirit to come speak through me and remove my ability to speak during that time of prayer. Whether or not she was healed during that time is beside the point, because nobody involved in that time of prayer can deny that the Spirit came down and moved over our squad and everybody walked away from that experience better off physically and spiritually.

Although this is an incredible story about the movement of the Holy Spirit, the story does not end there. In fact, the craziest part of this story comes in part two.. so stay tuned!!
