Well hello folks!! Sorry I haven’t posted any blogs yet this month. I’ll just give you a little update on to what has been going on this month so far.
The first update is that I am on a brand new team with all new people. My team now consists of myself, Jake Van Norman (jakevannorman.theworldrace.org), Leah Mohrig (leahmohrig.theworldrace.org), Alicia Tarjeft (aliciatarjeft.theworldrace.org), Micah Higgins (micahhiggins.theworldrace.org), and Stacey Compton (staceycompton.theworldrace.org). All of these new peeps are pretty incredible. I am stoked to be able to do ministry with them for the next 6 or so months.
The next update is that we are currently in Zambia. We are in Kitwe, a city in the North central part of Zambia. This is the first time our organization has used the contact we are using this month, so it has been a month of exploring and experimenting with different things in our time here this month.
When our time in Zambia is done, we will be heading to Cape Town, South Africa! January is what is called ask the Lord month. We were given the freedom to seek out ministry in a list of countries in southern Africa. I heard the Lord calling me to South Africa, because I really fell in love with it when we spent a few days in Johannesburg on our way to Malawi. When I got put on my new team, God was calling a few other people to South Africa as well, so we started to seek out opportunities to serve in Cape Town. It was a really really rough process at first, but now we have some options to chose from, and we may even be able to serve Hillsong church in our stay there.
Also, since it is the day before Christmas, I guess now would be the best time to wish you Merry Christmas!! Enjoy this season with your family and enjoy the season to celebrate the reason why I am even on this trip. I hope the Lord gives you new revelations about this season this year. May His birth mean more to you this year than it ever has.
