"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24
I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means to live a true life of worship. I know that it's not just about singing and music. I understand that it needs to be a daily thing, something that should come natural in every aspect of our lives.
This verse has came up twice in one day. It came up in my quiet time and then again when I decided to read an old journal from a mission trip in L.A. I figured it was something God was speaking to me about.
I desperately want to be this kind of worshiper. I desperately want to live a life that honors God in every way. I want to be the worshiper that the Father seeks. I think what's important to remember is that it doesn't matter where we are when we worship. It's how we worship that matters. God is everywhere, including all of the 11 countries we'll be traveling to, and we are to have genuine and true worship at all times.
So how do we live this out? How do we live every day truly worshipping our Lord and King? I think it's a constant learning experience, but I know that my hope is that at the end of each day, the Lord is honored and glorified through my life.
