Hello everybody!  I’ve arrived now in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a month of MANistry!  All of the guys of O-squad are together this month as the girls split into groups to work with ministries concentrated on rescuing women from the rampant sex-trade industry here.  The men are working at an orphanage for girls who were in danger of being sold or trafficked into the sex-trade.  During the days we are digging ditches and clearing brush around the orphanage and then spending some quality time with the girls during meals.  The girls are wonderful and it seems they are all thankful to be at such a refuge.  I’ll share more detailed info in later blogs.

All I can say is I am incredibly thankful to be here!  Thailand is amazing.  I cannot believe the contrast between here and Africa; I might has well flown to a different planet!  My two favorites so far: Kiwi slurpies from the 7Eleven, and spiced up Pad Thai…Amazing!  I can also vouch that the fried grasshoppers are actually pretty good too – fried black beetles – not so good!
I came up with a really good idea in Uganda to make a video blog to give everyone a bit of a break from all the reading and let everyone hear my voice and see my face.  The problem was internet to upload…. basically I would have needed about 5 hours in an internet cafe to upload it.  The answer: Thailand!  So, this video blog is very late but I thought I’d post it anyways.  Hope you enjoy!
