Over a year ago I said “yes” to the World Race.

It was then I began to plan, to raise funds and mentally prepare what leaving for 11 months would look like.

Well today I’m getting on a plane to Atlanta and on Tuesday I’m leaving for the Philippines.

No one, not a single person, could have said enough to prepare me for what this last week has entailed. The feelings I felt(am still feeling). How hard the goodbyes are. How easy the tears fall. How sweet the last kisses were. How intimate the prayers can be, when someone you love speaks such deep words over your life.

There’s never enough time to say, “see you later.” But now that we’ve said it… I’m ready to go, do and be all that The Lord has been preparing in advance for me.

There’re no regrets, no doubts and no fears for tomorrow. God will do what he’s always planned from the beginning. It’s a part of his rescue mission to use those who Love Him as a vessel to Love other in the same way He has endlessly displayed.

This is my “yes”, this is my launch.

Your prayers are much appreciated and much needed for my friends and family and myself. Talk to you soon and next time, I may be checking in from the Philippines!
