This is a song I wrote back in Colombia, but I didn’t want to share it because I didn’t feel confident sharing this song. I wasn’t really sure it related to what I was going through and I didn‘t even fully know what it meant. But as I’ve been going through this race, the words have begun to resonate with me more and more, about how we are a light and hope to those that God wants to bring back to Him.

Here are the lyrics:

There’s a light that is coming from your children here

There’s a hope that is rising above the fear

There’s a song that is bringing your kingdom near

How holy is your name

Because your love is bigger

Your words are stronger

My heart is yearning for your love

Hallelujah you have won the race

Praise the father for amazing grace

You are moving in incredible ways

Lord, let your will be done

Because your children are coming home

Coming home

Coming home

There’s a peace that surrounds the brokenness

There’s a life for ones who are in the darkness

There’s a way to the cross through your sacrifice

How perfect are your ways

Because your thoughts are higher

Your love is wider

And my words will never be enough

Hallelujah you have won the race

Praise the father for amazing grace

You are moving in incredible ways

Lord, let your will be done

Because your children are coming home

Coming home

Coming home

Lord, You know we’ve strayed

But like a good father You wait

For the day to come

When we all come running home

And you stand at the door with open arms

You bandage our wounds and you heal our scars

And we sing Your praise, and lift our hands to the sky

And the sound of our song makes the gates open wide

Hallelujah you have won the race

Praise the father for amazing grace

You are moving in incredible ways

Lord, let your will be done

Because your children are coming home

Coming home

Coming home
