So here is one of my lovely teammates: ANNA!
Anna is te only person I have spent the ENTIRE race with, and she is a truly incredible person in so many ways. So here is a little background on Anna. Anna is very independent and loves to travel and be free. She’s been to many places, like Thailand, Bolivia, South Korea, and about 25 more in addition to that! Last year, she lived in South Korea as an English teacher and really loves Asian culture so much because of it. Nepal was one of her favorite countries on the Race, to no one’s surprise!
Coming on the Race, Anna was someone I was very interested to get to know. At training camp, she wore really fun outfits and just seemed so confident in herself, and I wanted to know more about her instantly. Then, once we got on a team together, I got to accomplish that! She has strong giftings in teaching and preaching. She has so much wisdom and is able to explain things with such clarity. She is also great at organization. She has been a treasurer for the entire Race, and she has SLAYED at it! I’ve been very lucky to have her for the whole Race, for sure! Anna also loves people so well, and loves to listen to people’s stories. In just about every country, Anna has formed close, deep relationships with people in each country, and she still keeps in contact with almost all of them! This is something I’m really terrible at, and I really admire her commitment to stay in contact with all of her friends from around the world. Her intentionality with people is truly admirable.
While on this Race, Anna has grown so much in her understanding of the Holy Spirit and knowing her authority in Christ. We have prayed over to many people and overcome many difficult situations, but I have seen her grow so much in the confidence she has in Jesus and she truly lives that out.
Anna has taught me so much this year. She has taught me how to be unapologetically myself, how to be independent, and how to love different people and cultures with such intentionality. I know God has kept me on a team with her for a reason, becabuse she taught me so many of the things I knew the Lord wanted to teach me this year. I came in with such low self-confidence and lack of direction, and Anna has taught me so much about how to live in freedom and purpose with confidence, and I am so grateful to her for that.
In one short week, this team will be officially disbanded, and I will no longer be on a team with Anna, but it has been an honor to get to know her, and I have learned so much from her.
