Hi everyone! Here for a big life update!
I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be doing CGA after the race!!
CGA (Center for Global Action), is a five month discipleship school through Adventures in Missions, designed to help alumni racers transition from the race, back into sustainably living day to day life for the Kingdom.
It’s a classroom setting that challenges racers to step into leadership, to “know yourself, lead yourself, and lead others”. Through continuing to grow in deeper intimacy with the Lord & others, CGA focuses on bringing Kingdom wherever you go, and equipps racers with practical resources & support to make that happen.
I will be moving back to Gainesville, GA in August, and living near the AIM campus with other WR alumni. Aside from classes Monday through Friday, I’ll be involved in the Gainesville community, working & volunteering, to apply all that I’m learning.
The Lord has continually spoken refinement & growth over this season. These five months won’t be easy, but I’m confident they will be so beautiful & produce so much goodness.
During my time in Costa Rica, the Lord began to reveal & refine my passions to use for His glory. To love people and walk alongside them in finding freedom & experiencing the Lord’s goodness. While I don’t know exactly what that will look like, I know the Lord will continue to bring clarity & refine those passions in the coming months. I still don’t have it all figured out, and I’m not sure what’s after CGA, but I’m so excited to take this next step!
I will be fundraising $5,950 for CGA. The Lord showed up in bigger ways than I could have imagined when I had to raise more than twice this much for the race. We serve a God of abundance, and I know He’ll do it again!!
If you feel led to give, you can donate the same ways you have in the past: through the donate button at the top of my blog page, venmo (@jennopdahl), or check. I’ll be sending more information about fundraising soon!
More than anything, I would love for you to be praying about these upcoming months! That the Lord would provide all the finances needed to cover this next season. That I would be present in everything: from ministry here in the DR, to being home with family & friends this summer, and preparing my heart for everything the Lord will do in CGA. I appreciate your prayers more than you know!
This definitely isn’t the end of the blogs! I’ll continue to share how the Lord is moving in the DR & my own life, and how the race as a whole has impacted my life, as it’s quickly coming to an end, and much more about CGA.
Thank you all for following along on this wild journey 🙂
All the love,
Jen
