Hi everyone! Our time in Costa Rica is quickly coming to an end. Monday was our last day of ministry with Til He Returns. The goodbyes were extremely hard.
Reflecting back on how I thought my race would look, I never imagined I would have ended up in Costa Rica. I never imagined I would be taking hip hop/street dance classes in a basement as a part of ministry. I never thought I would be participating in a business class for ministry. I never thought I would be so eager to evangelize. The past few months have been full of so many beautiful moments where I can’t help but find myself asking “how is this my life?!?”.
In our time here, our ministry has become a home. A place to gather & belong. To come as you are. It’s a place of deep fellowship. Of joy & laughter. Of restoration. A safe space to learn, grow, and ask questions. A light in the darkness. A building full of passionate people boldly pursuing the Father. A place that will always be home. I’m really grateful that it’s hard to leave, and I hope saying goodbye never gets easier.
My squad and I have less than 2 weeks left in Costa Rica. We’ll spend this time deep cleaning, saying more goodbyes, packing, and debriefing all that the last 3 months have been.
After that, we head to the Dominican Republic!!! We will be serving with Mission of Hope, located in Santiago. Mission of Hope partners with local Haitian and Dominican pastors, so we’ll get to serve both people groups. We’ll primarily be ministering door to door, where we’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with families. We may also get to help with construction projects, running a nutrition program, upkeep at our base, and bible studies.
Again, never did I think my race would consist of Gainesville, GA, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so ready to dive into everything the Lord has in store for my squad and I in our last 2 months of our race.
Finally, I just want to take time to thank you guys. Everyone who has supported me in any way, whether it be through prayer, financially, or even just reading my blogs & sending me encouraging messages. I often find myself overwhelmed with gratitude that I’ve had the opportunity to go on the race. To see Heaven meet earth in new ways. To serve & love people wherever the Lord brings me. To experience the Father in new ways. It’s all possible because of you guys, and ultimately the Lord. So thank you, thank you, thank you for everything.
All the love,
Jen
