I sent out support letters recently, and wanted to share it on my blog as well! As always, thank you! Your prayers and support mean the world.
I’m excited to share that next year I will be going on the World Race: Gap Year!!
The World Race Gap Year is a program through Adventures in Missions. Established in 1989, it has brought over 100,000 people to the mission field. In September of 2020, I will be leaving to travel to the Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland), Ethiopia, and Cambodia.
I will live in each country for three months. Life will look different in each country; however, my team and I will be consistently loving on the people in surrounding communities, meeting both their physical and spiritual needs. Some of what we will be doing includes caring for orphans, spending time with the elderly, evangelism, and teaching English.
I’ve been blessed with a great family, friends, and youth group to encourage me to grow in my faith and to understand the importance of loving and serving others. I’m expectant to see how the Lord will work through this next season. I genuinely could not think of a better way to spend my first year out of high school.
I can’t make this all happen on my own. I have full confidence that the Lord will provide, as He has called me to this journey and is faithful! There two easy ways to become a part of this journey.
Prayer:
- For me and my team, that we would continually pursue community together and choose to grow in the Lord.
- For the communities and people we will encounter. That we would form relationships and meet their physical and spiritual needs.
- That the Lord would provide the needed amount to pursue this journey and advance His Kingdom.
Finances:
I would love to ask you to pray about financially supporting me through this trip. My total goal of $15,8000 must be met by January 21, 2021, but my first benchmark is $5,000 by June 17, 2020. This is an incredible opportunity and I would be honored for you to partner alongside me in building the Kingdom!
