Hi everyone! Writing to you from a coffee shop here in Costa Rica!

I am so excited to share with you that I’M FULLY FUNDED!!! Thank you so much for every prayer & donation, I am so beyond grateful for every single person who has supported me. The Lord is so, so good!! Fundraising has been one of the most challenging parts of this season, but so sweet to watch the Lord provide. He is always faithful!

My team & I made it to Costa Rica on Friday, January 8th! Life here is really sweet. A little rundown of what life looks like here:

  • We are staying at the AIM base in Curridabat, just outside of San Jose.
  • Due to Costa Rica’s COVID guidelines, only a certain number of people can be on the base at one time, so one team will always be staying at a different location.
  • We’ve started ministry training!! (Keep reading for more details about what ministry will look like!)
  • I’m team leading! Basically helping facilitate daily team times & other logistical aspects of my team. Been learning a lot about choosing into leadership & walking in the authority I’ve been given.

MINISTRY!

We are partnering with a ministry in San Jose called Til He Returns/The Hope Project. They work with at-risk communities in CR to redefine poverty. Their vision is to empower people in their identity as image bearers of Christ, to restore dignity through God-given gifts & talents, and rebuild families.

We will have the opportunity to work in a large variety of programs, such as english classes, crisis pregnancy counseling, evangelism, finance classes, and SO much more.

Here’s a link to their website with more information:) https://www.tilhereturns.com/

I am so excited to partner with this ministry & to be a part of how the Lord is moving here.

This upcoming week will be filled with more training. I’ll be sharing more about our ministry as we dive deeper into serving in the next few weeks! Thank you all for following along on this crazy, beautiful adventure!

All the love,

Jen
