Praise report!!
Over the past month, $748 in donations have poured in and I am so so grateful! This is so encouraging as the deadline for fundraising is approaching…He is providing!!
My current total is $14,347, which means by January 31st, 2019 I still need $3,853 to be fully funded! Right now as Christmas time approaches, and you are extra generous with gifts, I would SO appreciate and cherish any donation. Also P.S. double whammy my Birthday is also coming up-December 27th! On the race there are so many things I want to be learning and growing in but so often I put a lot of pressure on learning and growing that I don’t allow myself to do so.
All I need to do is abide in Him and He will abide in me. What this looks like is daily time with Him-sitting in the word, prayer and silence. This was such a difficult thing to do at home, where my central and main focus was not on sharing the gospel. On the race there are still distractions, and obligations but I have a deeper desire and longing for this time everyday. He has made our time Holy and I will treat it like so.
I have also seen the importance of this thing called Sabbath. The sabbath is a restful day each week where I cease work, rest physically, rest in the Lord, and worship. It looks different for everyone and I am still figuring out what sabbath looks like for me, but in order to work hard 6 days of the week I need to rest one day to allow my soul to be restored. I recently watched a sermon about this that really changed my perspective and interpretation of sabbath which you can watch here.
I don’t actually need to do anything other than intentionally make time for Him in my day and my heart and He will do all the work in filling me up.
