Hello friends and family!
As I come to the end of this 11 month journey I have some exciting news about what is next!
I will be going on another trip affiliated with the World Race, where I will be team leading a new squad that will be leaving in October! I will join them for the first three months specifically to Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina having to raise just $4,000!
As an alumni racer, I will be able to show these new racers how to run their race well and set them up for a great 11 months serving around the world.
I am so excited about this opportunity to step into a new form of leadership and ask the Lord about what that looks like for the future…that leading and learning from these teams isn’t just for the next few months, but for the rest of my life!
I was so excited about this opportunity because when I was asking the Lord for what to do next, I asked Him to specifically present something to me. I was looking into some different jobs that I was interested in and wondering if the Lord would provide open doors there and nothing really stuck out…but when my wonderful squad leader, Amy, reached out about this opening my heart automatically leaped towards yes. This is an opportunity to keep building my confidence in leadership in a challenging and loving environment, which is something that I very much desire.
Aside from this three month trip, the Lord has also given me dreams of coaching high school girls swimming in the future-to tell them that they are worth more than just their grades or performance in swimming of anything else except Jesus. I’m working towards long term goals while still being present in where I am right now.
