We arrived at our ministry in Filandia, Colombia yesterday and we are staying at a little airbnb like house. We all are very excited because we have hot water, a kitchen, a fridge, and beds!! And exciting for me-I have a closet!!! With hangers!!! This is the first time on the race I have had a closet.
This excitement made me so thankful to the Lord for providing this house and beds and a closet. And opened my eyes to how much more thankful I am not for the small things. I would have never thanked the Lord for a closet or a bed before…I would usually just expect that I deserve one or wish that it was a bigger closet or a more comfy mattress.
So thanks God for allowing me to sleep in a tent and take cold showers for a few months to be more aware of how much you are giving me and how thankful I am for everything.
Also ministry update: we are in the small, quaint town of Filandia serving with Fundacion Pioneres….where I will be teaching at a small farm school and helping out with an after school program!
