Wow the past month has been such an amazing blessing! God is on the move!!
At the beginning of this year, I was overwhelmed by the amount that I had to raise and how long I had to do so! Now I am a couple months into this process and man God has blown my expectations of how He was going to provide completely out of the water! He is providing in ways I never have thought of. I am so incredibly thankful for this journey already! Going in to this I thought I had figured out how I was going to raise the $18,000 I need to go on this trip. When I say God is on the move I mean it. So thankful for the complete strangers that i don’t know personally but have heard about what God has called me to and given! God has just been putting people in my path at the exact perfect time, day, hour that I need!
Let me tell you a quick story of one of those times! I was working at the bookstore and I was helping this lovely older lady find some supplies that she was looking for. She started asking me about my life and what I was going to do when the bookstore closed. I began telling her about this amazing trip, where I was going on and what I was going to be doing! We probably stood there in the aisle for a good 10 minutes talking. Afterwards we walked over to check out and she was asking how much I needed to raise and by when I need all the funds. I was done checking her out and handed her receipt to her, she asked if I could help carry her bags to her car, I said of course I would love to. We got out to her car and told me what I was about to do is an incredible opportunity and she would be praying for me. She then proceeded to ask if she could pray for me right in the parking lot! I said of course I am going to need all the prayers I can get! After we prayed I started walking away and she shouted Jenny don’t forget this! She handed me all the cash in her wallet, I just completely broke down and started crying, “Thank You” , I said. She told me she is praying for me everyday and prays this gift will multiply! I walked away from that conversation overwhelmed by her willingness to give, pray over me and God overwhelming goodness and provision! I walked back into the store and the song that was on the radio was Seventh Time Down: God is on the Move! To this day every time I hear that song I am reminded that God is on the move in my life and He is going to provide!
I could go on with the ways that God is providing for me, not just financially but just all the encouragement I have received! So everyone who has given THANK YOU, God is multiplying them and all the people who have given me encouragement, scripture and been there for me on the tough days, THANK YOU!!! I am so thankful for you all!
This process is not easy but God is teaching me more than I could imagine. This process is already bringing me closer to Him. I can not wait to see how He is going to continue to reveal himself to me and my team. This process is breaking my walls down, that I didn’t even realize I had put up. God is continually showing me new parts of Him! My relationship with Him is growing and maturing 🙂 I am learning to let go of control and TRUST God with His plan. His plan is so much sweeter than mine! Watching God conquer these mountains in my life has been an amazing blessing. I am not going to sit here and say it hasn’t been hard but the results or SOOO worth it!! God molding us is not always easy but He is so worth it. He is not trying to hurt us but always teaching us! That is another thing I am learning!
God is conquering my mountains! He can conquer yours too, just be OPEN to HIM!
