This month has been amazing! I love Romania and the beautiful people I get to work alongside here in Hope Church! This month was special.
This month I am in Draganesti-Olt, Romania! Me and my team are staying in a mission house along with two other teams doing all different ministry! Hope church is beautiful and Raul our host is the BEST! He loves all of us so well.
We started this month with spending 3 hours with Raul asking and talking to each Racer that will be here! I have had some pretty amazing host’s in the past 6 months but no one has ever sat m e down and tried truly building a relationship with me. He is so good at making you feel like you are seen, heard and valued.
My team and I had the pleasure of working side by side with Raul as the “office team”. I was so excited to be a part of this team, mainly for the fact I had the chance to get to know Raul. Each one of my teammates did something different. We had a media, video and photography, point person, Raul’s personal assistant, and PVT coordinator!
I volunteered to step up and Coordinate PVT.
What is PVT you ask? Well PVT is Parent Vision Trip, this is where racers and parents come together on the mission field! What, CRAZY!!! The parents fundraise just like we did and they get to come to Romania for one week. We have the opportunity to do ministry with our parents and really show them what the Race is like!
This is such an amazing opportunity for racers and parents to come together. I have loved planning this reunion and event! Unfortunately my parents were unable to come but I know that Papa has a perfect plan. I can not wait to see my family in four months and share with them everything the Lord is doing in my life!
It has been such a blessing to be able to see everything for this week come together so perfectly!! Yesterday all the parents arrived and PVT has officially begun!
Now I have really honestly loved every part of PVT but man it is hard! From the time I got accepted on Race I have thought about having my parents with me! I was doing great and giving all the emotions I had with my parent’s not being able to come to the Lord! I miss my family so much! And honestly seeing all the racers reuniting with their parents yesterday was so hard! All the emotions came and hit me like a freight train….felt very literal! I was greeting parents and taking videos and one of the facilitators Kelley (she is amazing) came up to me and asked how i was doing. Now she could tell I had been crying. I don’t hide my emotions too well, they normally come out through my eyeballs lol! Before I could even think about how I was going to answer, I said…
“I am an emotional wreck.”
This is week is hard but it has been already so good and fun! But if I am being honest with all of you I need prayers for this week. My heart hurts not seeing my mom and dad. Papa has a plan and I am choosing to give all the emotions to Him and really lean on Him this week!
Join me in praying for this week of reunion between all the racers and their parents! Here are some other prayer requests.
-
Sickness in the racers and parents. Jesus is already working in the lives of the people here and the enemy is trying to discourage us and HE WILL NOT WIN.
-
We are hosting a evangelistic event tomorrow to officially launch a church plant in the city of Craiova, Romania.
-
Chains broken in the people involved with PVT and the people we are ministering to
-
All the racers without their parents this week, it’s HARD!!!
-
Restored Families.
Love you all, and GOD BLESS!!!<3
