This last month was were in Chaing Khong, Thailand! Our host’s name is Somboon and He has a beautiful family! I loved this month. It was by far my favorite month!
Our host has a foundation for teenagers that live in neighboring villages and gives them an opportunity to come live in the city and go to school, learn English and gives them a chance to learn about Jesus! He is also a pastor of the local church in Chaing Khong.
This month we didn’t just teach english or hang out with the students. It was so much more and I LOVED every second of it!
~Manual labor in the mornings. We were helping with construction on the down stairs of the church we were staying at.
~Teaching English to the students.
~ Teaching music, through disney songs to kids. Somboon’s brother Chai owns a music school and asked me to come to his school 3 times a week and help teach some of his students learn how to sing!
This is what a normal Tuesday would look like for me!
7:30 Am- Wake up, Quiet time and Get ready for the day.
9 Am- Go down stairs and start the construction of the church.
12 Pm- Finshed with construction for the day. This part of the day ended with a water fight with Chai.
12:30 Pm to 3 Pm- Lunch time/ free time/ english class lesson planing.
3:30 PM Meet for Team Bible Study
4 Pm- Team meeting to go over what we are teaching at english class.
5 Pm- Team heads to english class and I go to music school.
5:15 to 6 Pm- Teaching “Let it go” to my student Bhaiboon!!
6 Pm- Meet up with the team at the foundation and figure out dinner! We all usually did something different LOL!
8:30 Pm- Meet back at the church for team time, feedback and announcements for what the next day will look like.
This is what my typical tuesday looked like and this is just a glimpse into a day as a World Racer!
