Wow I can't believe the World Race is over, it was a whirlwind of events and some days it feels like it was all a dream. But it was one of the best things I've ever done!
I went on the race thinking I new what to expect and that I had already seen and experienced the injustices of the world but I was sorrily mistaken. My eyes have been opened and for the better. If I had to condense this past year in a few words I would have to say it was
Unexpected, Extremely Challenging, Spirit Lead, and Unforgettable.
One thing I've learned this past year is that family and having a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ in every aspect of your life is the most important thing!
Throughout the race my heart has been burdened for the orphans around the world. From the street kids in the Philippines that fall asleep on your lap while your sitting on the side of the road to the orphans in Africa who run as fast as they can to be the first one to give you a big hug before the other children reach your side. My heart is with those kids and I am never going to forget their sweet smiles and warm spirits.
While I was in Romania the second to last month of the trip the Lord gave me a clear call to open up a home in Africa for orphaned and abandoned children. A home centered around Jesus Christ and with strong family values. Please pray that I continue to hear Gods voice and follow his path for my life. This may be the end of the World Race but it is only the beginning of my lifelong journey of serving the Lord through missions.
Sincerely thank you for the encouragement, prayers, and support you have shown me this past year. Without your dedication and the Lords provision none of this could have been possible.
My family
