Bringing Hope Through Prayer!
This past week my team and I walked around Busia Kenya, praying with families. Home after home we found out that the families were affected by HIV and AIDs! It’s heart breaking to see how these diseases can destroy lives. I will never forget the people we prayed with this past week.
One of the homes we visited there were five children under the age of 12 and their only guardian was their Grandpa, the parents had passed away years earlier. He was in his 70 and was HIV positive. I couldn’t imagine trying to provide for five children while being sick and not able to work. Their Grandpa grows a garden, but some days they're isn't enough food and most days he doesn't eat so that the children don't go hungry. As we prayed with his family you could see that our prayer had brought them hope! A hope that they had never felt before.
A couple of the families we prayed with told us that they couldn't believe that God would send a missionary from America or Canada to come pray and spend time with them. A single prayer or a simple hug can express so much love and hope. Amoung the many challanges these families endure they still stay strong in their faith in God! Its been a real testimony to me.

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
Please keep Kenya in your prayers!
