Where to start ! 🙂 Hello and welcome to everyone reading this blog and showing interest in the amazing plans the Lord has for my life in preparation in the next few months leading to the start of my race ! My name is Jenny Kuehni and as of July 2013 i will be on a plan headed around the world with a squad of amazing brothers and sisters in Christ and i could not be more excited. Still in a little shock knowing that not only the lives of others will be changed but i know my life will be radically shaken for the good!
So to say a little about myself ill start with growing up in the little town of North Bay ontario Canada ! yup thats right i might just be the only Canadian in my squad but im sure God has some huge plans for this girl from the north. I grew up in an amazing christian home with great parents and amazing sisters. With my dad a little out numbered he was a true example of patience and unconditional love and with myself and my sisters all 2 years apart i can say they are truely my best friends ! I look up to everyone in my family in so many ways especially the great baking my mom can make. Thats something i will be missing for 11 months.
The Lord has blessed me with amazing opportunity growing up and has allowed me to experience the missions field abroad on short term projects. In 2008 i spent time in Madagascar with Global Expeditions and 2010 went to sunny California to volunteer at the dream center downtown mission. With getting to go away on these trips has just brought the reality closer to home for me that just walking out your front door everyday you are exposed to a missions field. He has broken my heart for the things that break his,
I now work and live in Candas capital of Ottawa ,Ontario as a hairstylist at a great salon and love my job. Getting to have a job where you are working around people all day, meeting new faces, and doing what you love is hard to come by. It can also put u in a comfortable state. So this year i will be diving into preparation for the race of a lifetime. Letting myself be pushed to the limit, made vulnerable and uncomfortable but as a write this i feel so excited to let go of my worldly belongings and ties and pick up my cross and follow!
I cannot say my walk with the Lord has been anything but perfect but know that without my faith i would have nothing and without that love of the father i would not be where i am today. Praise the Lord that he never has forgotten me and in the times i have tried to turn my back on him he was always there carrying me 🙂 What a Merciful Beautiful God we serve 🙂
