The Last few days I can say that I have never been more overwhelmed, surrounded, uplifted, and broken by the presence of God. the mix of the love of family with the love of God this Christmas season has grabbed ahold of my heart and I feel so blessed! I find it hard to even put into words how amazing the Christmas gift of the Savoir has affected me this year. I have realized he raw fact that when we are still not good enough that our father brought the presence of a little baby to be more than enough.
So this Christmas i am overwhelmed by that kind of love that even amidst the American traditions I can see Him so clearly. I see it in the spirit of giving all around me, in the beautiful snow that blankets the ground, the songs we sing with the angels to worship him and even in the provision of a beautiful dinner. I was blessed with a full week off from work and am so thankful for this time of rest where i can focus and meditate on the most beautiful gift given to this world that was later the most beautiful exchange this world will ever know.
I can't believe that next year at this this time i will be spending this season in Cambodia ! What a place to share the real meaning of the Christmas with. Where Human trafficking and prostitution is a huge on going problem and over 95% of the population is Buddhist. I will miss my family very much the next year while I'm gone but I am so excited to share it with such a beautiful culture and a team thats heart desire is to see peoples lives saved and transformed my the love of the Lord. I have been so blessed with all the support this Christmas season and right now I will be braving the shopping malls in order to find the best deal of a sleeping matt and tent, which I will be calling my bed and home for the next year.
I Hope everyone has been overwhelmed by the presence of the Lord this week because with such high expectations put on Christmas I know can also come disappointment and sadness. But know that In the presence in the Lord you will never feel lonely, never be let down and never not have enough. He will never not show up or be late or not provide. Thats the beautiful thing, He is always there waiting to give everything He has for you and to you if you let him take control.
