If you are curious about how you can support, but feel that your gift will not be enough… you have come to the right place.
What I would love to begin with is to let you know that NO GIFT is too small.
I have 15,500 to raise in less than a year…. at this point EVERY single penny counts.
To begin the funding process, I have moved back in with my mom to prepare for The World Race. All that I would normally spend on rent is going into a savings account, which will later be donated 100% to my Funds Account. In addition to that, I earned a generous bonus this year through my employer and will be putting 100% of it towards my race as well. So, with that being said, about 1/3 of my trip is paid for out of pocket.
What I DO need is support for gear that I will need on the field ( tent, camping supplies, hiking gear, etc), funds to fulfill the rest of the 15k, and support emotionally/spiritually. If financial giving is not something you can afford right now, I completely understand! I have been there. Not long ago I was working as a waitress and in school full time, barely making ends meet. Life is tough! I totally understand what you are going through.
I have been trying to be creative with support, because many of you have expressed the desire to be involved in this journey with me… which I love. If you have any ideas that you think will help. let me know! I'd love to partner with you!
Sometimes, the best support is just word of mouth. I am normally not a proponent of gossip… but I can definitely appreciate those that have the " gift of gab " when it comes to my recent life changes. If you have a friend/family base that is appreciative of the journey that I am taking…. spread the word! 🙂 Post on your FB about my blog updates or FB group, share my email ([email protected]), or send my blog link to others. Help me get the word out there!
Networking is a gift in itsself. I can not do this alone.
The pride in me says I can, but more and more I am learning that I truly can not.
