haha get it? This blog has polaroid pictures.
Made ya look!
I hope everyone has had a beautiful week and that all is well!
On this side of the world, life has been so hectic! As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been preparing to move into my mom's house… which means lots of packing, cleaning, organizing, donating, etc.
It has been exciting and exhausting, but I am making alot of progress. On top of all that, I started training in a new role at work, and have been continuing through my college classes
… whew!
Anyway, I finally have a moment to breathe and relax. π
As promised, I have included a collage of all the beautiful people in my life that mean the most to me. ( for the sake of space, I've only included family and extended family π )
….We all know that if I tried to put pictures of all the people I hold close to my heart in this blog,
it would be a mile long.
As I share about myself in this blog, I would like you to have faces to put to names.
A huge part of who I am is based around the experiences that I have had with the following people.
As I introduce myself, it is only right for them to be introduced as well. π

Mom:
My mom is my best friend. She and I have always been close, but in the last few years as i've developed into an adult our relationship has become alot stronger. I share her passion for people and other cultures, adventurous nature, creative heart, and independent personality. She is a force to be reckoned with! I am thankful to have had her to lean on in times of trial, and the ability to communicate with her openly about everything. She is wise, and has taught me how important it is to follow your heart, be open minded, and establish my own opinions. I am grateful for the freedom she gave me to learn from my mistakes, teach my the WHY behind everything in life, and allow me to choose my own path. She is a beautiful woman and I am so thankful to call her Mom.
Justin:
Justin has been through so much in the last few years! I am so proud of him. He has a kind heart, social nature, and is very determined at anything he puts his mind to. I have enjoyed watching him grow into a man over the last few years. He has been through some extremely challenging times, and has always kept a positive attitude. I am so happy to have him in my life, and thankful for all that he has taught me about tolerance, acceptance, and unconditional love. Being diagnosed Schizophrenic has it's limitations, but he has always shown me that anything is possible if you believe in the good and overlook those limitations.
Harmon:
My older brother Harmon is a great man! I am proud of him, and thankful for how our relationship is developing as we age. He is hard working, funny, intelligent, and has taught me alot about finding the balance in life. I look forward to seeing both of our lives develop, and what we will be able to teach each other as we experience different things in life.
Dad:
My Dad is a very intelligent man that has always worked hard to support our family. I am so thankful of the opportunties that I have been afforded because of my parent's commitment to my success/happiness. Bring raised in a military family has been challenging and a huge blessing at the same time. It strengthened me in ways that nothing else could. As in any parent/child relationship, he and I have had our struggles but I know that he would do anything for my brothers and me. I am proud of him, and so thankful for the life changes that he has been gone through in the last few years. I am happy to see him happy, and am thankful for his girlfriend Bonnie as well.
Opa & Oma:
My Oma and Opa are wonderful people π They live in The Netherlands, and I don't get to see them as often as I would like but what I do have are wonderful memories from the times I have spent with them over the last several years. Growing up I would visit with my Oma & Opa, and we would go on bike rides, eat interesting foods, shop in the local stores, and have a blast exploring museums. They are compassionate, friendly, loving, quirky, and extremely supportive. Dispite the distance and language barrier, they have always gone out of their way to stay in touch and show my brothers and I how much they love us.
Grandpa:
My grandpa is a great man. He has always taught me to be myself, pursue what my heart tells me, and to disregard anything negative that will stand in my way. He is independent, strong, and kind hearted. He rides a harley, looks a little rough around the edges, and apears tough on the outside…. and that is what I love about him, because on the inside he has a heart of gold π I love that he builds networks of good people everywhere he goes. I can only hope that I will gain as much respect from others in my lifetime as he has in his.
Matthew:
This ginger is such a great person. π We have been through so much together and have become so close! He and I have shared great memories rock climbing, camping, vacationing, going to concerts, etc. He's taught me so much about myself and I am so thankful for our time together. Our relationship has made a huge impact in my life. I would not be the same Jenny today, had we not met two years ago. It's such a great feeling to know that there is someone in the world that understands you, accepts you, and appreciates you for all that you are. Not only do Matthew and I share that, but we encourage each other to grow and change regularly. I look forward to seeing how we each will grow over the next few years as we embark on two new chapters in our lives.
The Hartdegens:
Matthew's family has played a huge role in the last two years of my life! Not only are they welcoming and kind, they are supportive and love me unconditionally. It has been such a blessing to share memories with them over holidays and weekend trips. I will always have a special place in my heart for Candy, Brian, Josh, & Matthew. π
Dexter:
This is my amazing cat. I love him! He is a stray tabby that Matthew's family found, that Matthew and I ended up fostering. He has become such a big part of my life! Everyday he picks up new quirky traits, and provides unconditional love. I'll be sad to see him move to Oxford with Matthew, but am so thankful for the time I have had with him!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
Have a great rest of your week!
