“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Powerhouse. That’s the word I received from the Lord when we were asked to seek the Lord with what He saw for us in Nicaragua. As I quietly sat and waited for the Lord to bring me a Word, I heard powerhouse. I quickly disregarded that and questioned God by saying “what does that even mean?” I sat on my seat with this word I couldn’t get out of my head yet filled with confusion if that really was coming from God. I find it funny how we ask God to speak to us and when He decides to, we are quicker to dismiss His words. I searched through the concordance for some biblical help as I stumbled upon the word, power. Which then led me to find Acts 1:8. Reading that passage gave me chills! It all leads up to the work He’s called us to do through these next 10 months and NOW.

This month in Nicaragua we have the privilege to serve through evangelism and a medical clinic. Our ministry is called Vision, and they are not only incredible in serving us as we have been extremely spoiled these past days with wonderful food and shelter but, also see their mission to reach the unreached in Nicaragua. We will be able to help with door to door ministries, sharing our testimonies with men in addiction or homeless, share messages that will have a moment for others to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, help in a medical clinic, children’s ministry and more. We’ve been able to get a gist of what the ministry day to day will look and it’s something I am greatly looking forward to! For the most part, myself and two other squad mates will be in charge of translating all of the testimonies and or messages being spoken. This can be an intimidating part of ministry although we are fully aware as said on Acts 1:8, we will receive that power and ability in the Holy Spirit. None of this is a job that is to be done alone. He is with us, and for us!

Lastly, I’d like to once again ask each one of you to prayerfully consider financially supporting me as I currently am still $1811.00 away from my $13k deadline. If I am not able to collect this amount, I would be then asked to return home. I know the Lord is doing a mighty work through the people we will be reaching as well as in my own heart. Would you be willing to partner with me? Would you be willing to reach the unreached by supporting me, as my squad and I go out into the streets of Nicaragua and share what God has done for them? This can only be done through your support. Thank you.

You are Loved!
