Hello to all my friends and supporters! With our time in Asia coming to a close, I’d love to give you an overview on how this month looked like and how we were able to impact those around us. With only 3 months left of the race, I ask that you prayerfully consider donating ANY amount towards this trip! I have $1,713 left to be fully funded! God has done some amazing things in my fundraising process and I believe that He is not finished yet! Please consider donating by clicking the ‘donate’ link. So without further a do, here’s a short summary for month 8!
Kids International Ministry:
This month we were in a small island in the Philippines called Tacloban. 4 years ago, one of the biggest typhoons in the world hit this city and countless of people died from this storm. It was a moment that no one would ever forget and to this day families are still being affected by it. Ministry in the Philippines looked like a variety of different things. They included distributing food to families that had been effected by the Yolanda typhoon, VBS, community service, and evangelism. We were able to incorporate bible stories, camp songs, and sharing the gospel to kids on the streets who were on summer break. The result brought many kids to learn about Jesus as a personal savior and friend rather than just knowing Him for a religious figure. It was refreshing to stay with a ministry that provided plenty of comforts through delicious food to the cozy beds! The city of Tacloban and the people that were around us will forever be in our hearts! Here are a few pictures that show our team in action!

Refinement through Travels:
A crazy adventure some of our teams had to go through was traveling from the city of Manila to Tacloban. A bus ride that could last from 24-36 hours. As most of us were not looking towards this long traveling day and sitting for such a long period of time, the Lord used that to show His mercy and love towards us all. As we sat on a bus seat with plastic covers, unable to recline, extremely tight space and simply filled with exhaustion God granted us this gorgeous view of a sunset. You may think that a sunset is just something unimportant compared to other experiences we’ve been through. Yet even through that, God knew that our hearts would be filled with an excitement and anticipation for what was to come in seeing His beautiful creation. He gave us a breath taking view and changed our perspectives to an awe of who He was rather than seeing the circumstances around us. Now, I have a new-found appreciation for sunsets and it’s crazy how one experience can change the way you see things. I love and appreciate sunsets so much more than I ever have! There is a freedom found and true worship in seeing the Father’s beautiful art piece being on display. Lastly, even though our travel time was hard, Jesus stepped in and gave us lightness in the midst of chaos and discomfort.
Fundraising Update:
As mentioned above, I have $1,713 left to be fully funded! Would YOU be a part of this life changing, kingdom come, and be an impact to the nations for Christ? You can donate whatever amount the Lord has placed on your heart! THANK you so much to those who’ve already so generously donated and have been a part of this incredible experience with me! My heart is full of gratitude and excited how God continues to make Himself known throughout the world!
