Hello to all that find themselves reading my blog again! We are officially done with traveling through Central America and on to an exciting adventure through Asia! This month our team (Abundant Pursuit) will find themselves doing ministry called ATL or ask the Lord. We will be completely free from a specific host ministry and will get the opportunity to serve the Lord in whatever areas He would like us to. Please continue to be in prayer over our time in Malaysia and that God would move in incredible ways and have us minister to the people of this nation. With that being said, after living in Central America for 4 months, I have learned/picked up a few things! Here is what I’ve learned!

  1. Spanish phrases only count for the country you are currently in- if you say them elsewhere it’s possible the meaning could be used as an offense or they’ll have no idea what you’re saying
  2. 60 is your max limit on a bus? Try 40 more!
  3. Rice and beans are a staple piece for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
  4.  Get ready to pack a good pair of socks, wool blankets, thick sweaters, and gloves for the win!
  5. Know Spanish? Great! Now, go tell everyone else what’s going on!
  6. Chikis & Chokis… 2 different things, 2 things I could not live without!
  7. Who said we can’t have a party at the grocery store?
  8. Coke in a bag. Enough said.
  9. Driving is a race of who can get to their destination without dying first
  10. And lastly.. THE LATIN CULTURE! “Shaky Shaky,” emotions, hand movements, indigenous outfits, tacos, artistic approaches!

Central America has so many awesome culture opportunities to seek after!

THANKS FOR AN AWESOME 4 MONTHS CENTRAL AMERICA!! ASIA HERE WE COME!!
